The next day, the individual was still trying to be reasonable.
He asked Mickey Mouse for something truly revolutionary:
To receive what the law had already determined was his.
No drama.
No new conditions.
No additional games.
Just the compensation.
He even went a step further and offered to invest in Mickey Mouse Land and help solve any problems he was capable of helping with.
Apparently, however, being reasonable was not nearly creative enough for Mickey Mouse.
The Mysterious Frozen Fortune
The response was unexpected.
According to the individual, Mickey Mouse suggested that perhaps there would be no return to court, but the government still had the option of freezing his assets in Mickey Mouse Land.
In other words:
“We might give you the money… but you may not be able to use it.”
An interesting concept.
It is rather like giving someone a birthday cake and then locking it in a safe.
Even more interesting, according to the individual, no explanation was provided.
No document stating that the money existed.
No formal notice.
No clear reason for why the assets would be frozen.
Just the possibility of a frozen fortune, floating mysteriously somewhere in the bureaucratic universe of Mickey Mouse Land.
The Lesson That Existed Only in Their Heads
According to the individual, Mickey Mouse then adopted one of the Plastic King’s favorite hobbies:
Inventing scenarios.
Together, they allegedly concluded that the individual had somehow sent secret hints that he wanted to join the criminal network and then later denied it.
This, in their view, apparently justified teaching him a lesson.
A fascinating theory.
First, imagine someone committed an offense.
Then become angry about the imaginary offense.
Finally, punish the person for the imaginary offense.
The efficiency of the system is truly remarkable.
No evidence required.
Reality optional.
The line between the government and the cults is becoming blurred.
Operation: Mixed Signals
According to the individual, the next phase involved sending him mixed messages through various people in his hometown.
Every morning.
Every evening.
A constant stream of signals.
As a bonus, they allegedly sent people who gave him what he described as the “toxic ex-girlfriend look” whenever they passed by him.
Apparently, someone in Mickey Mouse Land believed that intimidating glances and awkward facial expressions were powerful tools of statecraft.
The individual, however, noted one small problem with the strategy.
These tactics had not stopped him from speaking his truth before.
But perhaps, the planners reasoned, if you repeat the same thing enough times, the result will magically change.
A bold strategy indeed.
After all, if reality refuses to cooperate, there is always the option of trying the exact same plan again and hoping that this time the universe gets the memo.
