A Public Performance of Humility
After the individual exposed the Plastic Fool’s intention to ensure that the woman he had bid on would win at any cost, it seems that people may have started accusing him of the very same behavior. Alternatively, he may have decided to get ahead of the accusations by distancing himself from them.
Today, he put on the mask of humility and sent a message to the individual through a third party, delivering it publicly in front of others:
“You want another woman? Please, go ahead and choose whoever you want. You are my friend, you are like a son to me, and I would never force you to do anything you don’t want to do.”
Quite a touching performance. It was the same kind of theatrical overacting he used when he faced the prospect of going to jail over accusations of covering for human traffickers. But this time, the performance may not have the desired effect.
What Happens When the Audience Leaves?
That was not the end of the show. Once the stage was empty and the individual was alone, the Plastic Fool sent another enabler to mock the very woman he had just claimed he would not mind the individual choosing.
Not that the individual particularly cares about any of the women involved in this game, nor does he intend to pursue a relationship with any of them. The point, as the individual sees it, is to let the other bidders know what is happening and stir up further rivalry.
In other words, he appears to be pouring fuel on the fire, hoping that the competing parties will turn against one another over money.
The Plastic Fool also allegedly enlisted a foolish puppet who happened to live next door to the individual to mock him while he was experiencing weakness due to a lack of food. The apparent objective was to provoke the individual into acting out of character, giving his opponents an opportunity to point at him and declare, “See? That is who he really is.”
Restraint Is Not Weakness
The individual does not deny that part of him would like to take that puppet and hang it in his own kitchen. Nevertheless, he continues to choose reason and logic over violence, refusing to let provocation dictate his actions.
When we described the Plastic Fool as psychopathic, we were not using the word as a casual joke or merely for dramatic effect. In the individual’s view, the Plastic Fool’s repeated behavior reinforces that characterization. However, the real point is not the label itself; it is the pattern of conduct that the individual believes he has witnessed.
The mask of humility may look convincing in front of an audience. But when the performance changes depending on who is watching, the audience may eventually begin to question the actor.
