A Judge with a Bias and a Lawyer with Excuses

After it became painfully obvious that the judge was biased, he decided to write a formal request to the court asking for a different judge. Before submitting it, he sent the letter to a lawyer to make sure it was effective.

The lawyer’s response?

“It’s not enough that the judge is biased to ask for another judge.”

He paused.

What?

Maybe the lawyer simply didn’t understand the full picture. So he decided: fine, it’s time to hire a proper lawyer who knows what they’re doing.

In their first meeting, the new lawyer finally made things sound logical.

He explained that in situations like this, the termination is usually reclassified as a normal termination, which includes:

– A three-month notice period
– Half a month to one month of severance pay
– Compensation for unused vacation days

For the first time in a long time, something made sense. He felt relieved. He immediately signed the contract and let the lawyer take over the case.

The Sudden Shift

But the relief didn’t last long.

Only a few days after signing, the lawyer’s tune changed dramatically.

Suddenly, he advised him to accept the company’s offer — a mere one and a half months of payment.

The lawyer claimed:

“Because you went to the police and accused two colleagues of sexual harassment, they will prove there was no harassment. That means they had the right to fire you without notice.”

He blinked.

What alternate universe was the lawyer living in?

He had never accused anyone of sexual harassment.

He only reported to the police that his laptop had been hacked — and he suspected two colleagues.

And this happened after he was fired, which can not have an effect on the termination that happened before going to the police.

He reminded the lawyer:

“You already knew everything from the beginning. None of this is new. And you said in such situations the employee gets these rights.”

The lawyer’s legendary reply:

“I didn’t promise you anything.”

A System That Protects Itself

He tried once more to reason with the lawyer.

“I know you didn’t promise me anything,” he said. “But telling me that the law guarantees certain rights and then suddenly telling me to accept whatever they give… that doesn’t add up.”

He even mentioned the medical certificate from his doctor confirming the health damage caused by the unfair and absurd situations he endured in the company.

This time, the lawyer delivered an even more impressive excuse:

“I’m just trying to help you. If we go to court, the judge will take their side.”

He sat there in silence for a moment.

Was he hearing correctly?

So not only was the judge biased — the lawyer himself was now basically admitting that the system was rigged from the start.

It felt less like a country governed by law and more like a privately owned manor where the powerful do whatever they want, whenever they want.

To Be Continued…
